|Samsung is also speculated to be working on a rival to Apple iPhone SE
|After launching the flagship Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge in India, Samsung is all set to launch a new smartphone on March 31, which might be the third smartphone from the Korean giant in the Galaxy J series. The new smartphone, possibly the Galaxy J5 is expected to be unveiled in first of its kind- a motorcycle-themed event on Friday, the last day of the month. As per a report on GSM Arena, the event is tagged #TapKickVroom and as per Samsung “will change the way you ride.” Going by the hashtag, we can say that the new smartphone is going to bring some software features dedicated to bike riders to make their time easier on the roads, without losing the touch from their smartphones.
The original Galaxy J5 was launched in July 2015. We are expecting the forthcoming device to be called the Galaxy J5 (2016) following the same naming scheme that the company has adopted for the recent Galaxy A series phones.
Moreover, Samsung is also hosting a contest on Twitter in which the company will reward three winners with the newly launched smartphone for rightly guessing what the event is all about. Twitter users can tweet their guesses to @SamungMobileIN to enter the contest. The contest is valid till 6pm on March 30. Besides, users can also write on Samsung Mobile India’s Facebook page.
The official Samsung page shows a video and a picture showing the Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor promoting the new handset with the hashtag #TapKickVroom. In the past we have seen the actor promoting the previous Galaxy J series handsets.
